Prashantinilayam,19th November 2012

Morning:
Women devotees from around the world assembled in Sai Kulwant Hall to celebrate the  Ladies Day 2012 this morning here at Prasanthi Nilayam.

Speaking first Ms Meyer highlighted the importance of realising the true nature by practising Baba's teachings, sharing the same with others and transforming them and explained Baba  taught devotees lessons by interacting with them. She mentioned that  Baba indicated  to her to expand her love to universal love was lucidly explained by Ms Meyer entwining her speech with some interesting personal experiences.

Baba's teachings might appear to be difficult to practise, still we need to try with perseverance until we are victorious, said the speaker quoting references from His personal guidance. We need to respond to His call from within exhorted the speaker, ending her inspirational speech declaring: "Let's respond to the call from within, let's inspire the world to follow His teachings."

Ms Kayo Ko Hira, the second speaker, spoke of Baba's Supreme Love, referring to the national disaster, earth quake and tsunami, that devastated the country in March 2011, affecting millions of lives. Mentioning of the world-wide response came in the form of condolence and aids, Ms Hira affirmed, quality is important and not quantity, sharing some interesting anecdotes narrating His all conquering Love.

She dwelt upon how Baba  came to the rescue personally promising with the words, "I shall protect them from radiation, Go", further instructing the national Sai organisation to go ahead with rescue operation.

Next to come was a beautiful dance presentation by the students  from Sri Sathya Sai School, Thailand. A small group of innocent children symbolically holding a couple of white roses in both hands, rhythmically swayed and danced, as if telling they are the flower in His Divine garden.

Final programme for the morning was devotional singing in Spanish by devotees from Dominican Republic. A group of women, ably assisted by a small group of men, took the centre-stage with an ensemble of musical instruments producing some vibrant music, singing in varied tunes, as an expression of their hearts full of love, for the next fifteen minutes.

Even as bhajans by the Anantapur Campus continued, commemorating the occasion, implements were distributed to the needy, sponsored by Smt. Easwaramma Women Welfare Trust.

Evening:

Children in colorful costumes from Sri Sathya Sai Primary School presented a scintillating musical dance drama entitledSai Charanamrutham, narrating the story of Baba.
The proceedings began with Ms Chetana Raju gave a brief introductory talk delving  on Baba . Speaking high about his Advent,  Ms Raju exhorted the audience to eschew ego and selfishness offering  love and devotion . Ms. Chetana Raju ended her spirited speech with a resolve, representing all, to do something good in life as an offering of gratitude to Baba.
The first programme for the evening was a piano concert by Ms Maria Jory, accompanied by Ms Radha Botofasina on vocal. Shuffling her fingers on the magical musical instrument even as the gifted artiste produced melodious music, intermittently she burst into spells of reminiscence narrating interesting accounts of her experiences with Bhagawan. Presenting her first ever composition, tagging the same to an inner experience way back in 1995, the singer continued with another piece on the advent of Prema Sai. Inviting the audience to sing along Radha sang an inciting number asking "Where is God? Where is Love?".
A Carnatic concert by the famous duo, Hyderabad Sisters, Lalitha and Hari Priya was the next programme.
Beginning with Vatabhi Ganapathim the duo continued singing another six numbers, ending with an inciting number “Brahmamokkade…”.
Already fading daylight at the twilight turned brighter by a short, yet dazzling band display by the Higher Secondary Bagpiper Band Troupe from the Primary School.
By then it was time for the final show. Children from the Primary School strode towards the centre chanting invocatory Durga Suktham. Even as they  made a disciplined offering bowing down , the packed assembly sat in silence admiring the little children.
Dancing gracefully to the backdrop reels and songs depicting Baba's story the   children paced forward centre-stage, singing and dancing, rocking the entire house.
